Training principles.

Every personal trainer works differently. To find the optimal training approach for you, a good starting point is to understand how I work, what’s important and my approach to training...so here are the three Spark Move Grow training principles that sit at the core of everything I do:

Sustainable change.

Anyone (well, most people) can go on a crash diet and/or intense fitness programme and see results in a short space of time. However, in order to achieve a sustainable transformation, you need to commit to change for the long-term. The Spark Move Grow philosophy is all about bringing a manageable, realistic & long-term approach to deliver on your goals.

Invest in you and work hard.

If you want to transform your body and see real results, you need to invest in yourself. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, develop muscle or gain power and strength, you need to consistently and systematically challenge your body. This means pushing yourself during every workout, overcoming any mental barriers, learning how to ‘listen’ to your body and sticking to ‘rest periods’, targets and training sessions. This is hard… but if you want to change your physique and achieve your goals, this is the only way to do it.

You can’t out-train a bad diet.

Whether you are looking to lose weight, ‘tone up’, develop lean muscle or gain strength and power, what and how you eat (i.e. “your diet”) makes a huge difference as to how effectively you can achieve and sustain your goal.
